The Cattleman is the hat made by Akubra for the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, chosen because it typifies the hats used by the cattlemen in Australia. The safeguard it provides from sun for nose, ears and back of the neck makes this enduring Australian style a good choice for anyone spending time outdoors. The pre-creased pinched telescope crown is 4 inches high, eyeletted. The 3-1/4 inch bound edge brim is turned down in front and back. Made from Akubra's Imperial Quality pure fur felt, the hat has a double ornamental band with brass fittings, is fully lined, and has chinstrap hooks set inside the crown for easy attachment of a chin strap. Reeded roan leather sweatband. UPF rating 50+. Made in Australia.

For casual ranch and social wear, this is my fourth Akubra hat and quality cannot be beat. David Morgan customer care folks are very helpful via phone and email. Thorough followup. Very fast shopping! Hat came in perfect order. Will definitely shop with David Morgan again.

I use this hat training dogs and to keep the sun off shooting dog trials,I like the fit, (a little big till I added the inserts in the hat band then it fit great).The only thing negitive is the color fawn to me is more tan not more toward the green side. But color isn't as important as the function to me. Well Done.

GREAT FITTING HAT..I'm an artist and need a hat to protect me from the sun..I also purchased the chin strap so on windy days it will stay in place ...I just love it and it fits me perfectly ...Thanks ....worth every dollar!!!!

This is my third Akubra hat, the other two being a Federation IV Deluxe and an original Federation. I wanted a hat with a wider brim than the fedoras, and I'm glad that I chose this one! The Cattleman was an instant favorite from the first time I put it on. The Cattleman doesn't disappoint, it looks great and offers excellent protection from the sun. I am convinced that Akubras are the best made hats on the market, I'll probably be wearing this one thirty years from now. I'm already considering a Territory hat in sand.
